We are thrilled to share the incredible impact of our recent Vision Care project at SJK (T) Tun Sambanthan, nestled in the heart of rural Rantau, Negeri Sembilan.
On April 22, 2024, Book Aid Asia, in collaboration with our esteemed partner, World Vision Optics (WVO), embarked on a mission to transform lives through clearer vision. With a steadfast commitment to breaking the cycle of limited educational opportunities for children from underprivileged backgrounds, we conducted comprehensive eye checks for 200 students at the school.
The results were profound. Through our diligent efforts, we identified 10 students facing the hurdle of poor eyesight, unbeknownst to their families. Many parents were unaware of their children's vision struggles, hindering their academic progress. But today, we are overjoyed to announce that these remarkable young individuals have received the gift of clear sight, thanks to the generosity of WVO.
Imagine the joy on their faces as they put on their new spectacles, their world suddenly sharper and more vibrant. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, explore, and dream without limitations. By addressing this fundamental barrier to education, we are empowering these students to thrive in the classroom and beyond.
