We are thrilled to share the joyous news that on 16 January 2024 Book Aid Asia contributed 35 English story books to SMK Dato' Shamsudin Nain, a rural school nestled in Rantau, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia.
Abu Hassan Ahmad, the passionate Founder of Book Aid Asia, personally delivered these literary treasures to the Principal of SMK Dato' Shamsudin Nain as part of our ongoing initiative, the Book Advocacy for Children's Achievement (BACA) program.
Our mission is to ignite a love for reading among young minds and elevate English proficiency levels, particularly in rural secondary schools. Education knows no bounds, and we believe every student deserves access to the enchanting world within the pages of a book.
The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of the school's management team, dedicated teachers, and more than 60 vibrant lower secondary students (Tahap 1). Together, we embarked on a journey filled with insightful talks on the myriad benefits of reading. The highlight of the day was an inspiring hour-long motivational talk titled "I Have a Dream."
"I Have a Dream" wasn't just a talk; it was a powerful reminder to these young minds about the importance of setting life goals. Life may present challenges, but with determination and resilience, dreams can be turned into reality. We firmly believe that by instilling a sense of purpose through programs like BACA and motivational talks, we are sowing the seeds for a brighter future.
As these books find their way into the hands of eager students, we hope to witness a positive transformation. We envision students not only improving their English skills but also developing a profound sense of purpose and motivation to pursue their dreams.
Let's continue to champion the cause of education, one book at a time!
